4 Tips To Boost Self-Belief And Achieve Success In Life

Then you might be one of the many other women out there who’s dealing with self-doubt and lack of self-worth to go after what they want. 

It is very common to have moments of self-doubt, imposter syndrome and perfectionism when we enter a territory that both excites and terrifies us at the same time.

Making your dreams come true is a deep journey where you can’t run away from yourself any longer. You are bound to face your deepest wounds, fears and personal obstacles if you genuinely want to create something better for yourself. 

But you don’t have to let it get in the way of what I know you deep down know you can do!

Because guess what… 

That dream you have? It is meant for you. 

All your desires are meant for you and are signs of the path you need to go down to fulfil your life’s purpose and live as the highest version of yourself you can be.

The person you are, are not all of the doubts and fears that stop you. Who you are, is the person who follows her desires and achieves them. 

But the only way to get to that version of yourself and live that dream life is to take the actions you are most scared of taking.

So how can you start getting the confidence and self-belief to finally show up, take action and succeed in your work and life? Here is how:

Know your why and your ambitions

Let me ask you; 

What is the reason you would be willing to get uncomfortable, grow personally, face pain and embarrassing moments, hear crickets, face the worries that come, get out of your comfort zone and show everyone who you truly are and what you’re about? What is the reason it would all be worth all that?

Without knowing your why and your ambitions, then what are you doing it all for? 

That is a very important question only you can answer, and there can be a million different answers depending on who you ask this question too. None is right or wrong. 

But you need to know that whatever difficulty you will face along the journey towards your goals and dreams, you’re doing it all because ______ (of what, for who, for what purpose?)

Knowing this will help you through a ton of moments where self-doubt will undoubtedly creep in, and it will help you to be able to see the bigger picture and why you need to do certain things that will make you feel very uncomfortable.

I’m not sure who initially came up with this saying, but it speaks volumes; Get comfortable with being uncomfortable is the way to success. 

Don’t compare your journey

Along the way to your dreams, you’ll face a lot of people in the same industry as you chasing the same goals, and guess what? Many of those will be far more ahead than you will be.

You might look at them, admire them and wonder how they did it, and sure you can learn from them. But you can never follow the same paths as they did.

You have to understand that their path to their dreams was uniquely theirs, and so will yours be – and this is a really good thing!

We all came down here to earth to pave our paths to our destination, as that is the only way you will fully be pursuing and fulfilling your destiny. 

Self-doubt usually creeps in out of fear of us not following our true path.

You see, doubts are normal to have! 

But you will eventually see that the deeper rooted you are in your journey, path, destiny, and what you came here to do and how much YOU believe in what you do, the less your fears and doubts will show up.

There will be no reason to compare yourself to others if you can appreciate how unique your journey is towards similar goals you see that others have already achieved for themselves. 

The more rooted in your path you are, you’ll see that all along, those doubts and moments of comparison were simply a sign of what YOU wanted for yourself. 

And you know what’s even better? 

All those feelings are only a sign of what is also possible for you!

Take action and the path will follow

Most feelings of self-doubt come from a lack of action. Did you know that? You see, the only way to build self-belief and confidence is through taking steps that are scary and uncomfortable. 

Most people think they need to build up confidence first to do the things they’re scared of doing, and then they will see the path of all of those perfectly aligned steps they need to take. But it’s entirely the opposite of that. 

You need to take a step before the path reveals itself for you.

You need to take a step that scares you to diminish the fear. 

You need to take action to build confidence. 

There is no other way around it, only a way through it, and that is why it is so important to get comfortable being uncomfortable.

No one says you have to do a speaking gig for 1000 people tomorrow if that is holding you back. But perhaps just introducing yourself to a new person next time you’re out is a step out of your comfort zone. 

The more you do those things, the easier they will become. Your mind will begin to create new neurological pathways of what is safe, so you can get more comfortable being uncomfortable until you ARE, in fact, super comfortable introducing yourself to a new person. 

Have clear boundaries

The last point I want to make is to get comfortable setting boundaries with people around you and yourself. 

Suppose you are someone who struggles with setting boundaries. In that case, I can almost guarantee that you are also someone who doesn’t value yourself very highly or takes very good care of yourself, but let other people dictate your worth, let others cross your boundaries frequently. You might even do a lot of people-pleasing.

To set boundaries with people, you need to prioritize yourself much more if you aren’t going to spiral downwards and end up burning out from chasing your dreams. 

Trust me, I’ve been there, and it’s an uphill battle to overcome burnout. 

So make sure you work on your self-worth and prioritize your well-being, so you can set boundaries with people and have the energy and work ethic to take all of those action steps that need to be taken to build the self-belief and confidence you need to realize your dreams. 

If anything, that is probably the number one thing I would love for you to take from today’s post, as you will not be able to realize many dreams if you don’t value yourself first.

You are the single most important foundation of everything you want to accomplish.
